2nd Sam 9 was developed by a group of dedicated members of the Greene County community who envisioned a faith based program built to meet the needs of developmentally disabled adults. The program provides day activities to participants at no cost.

We have a program that is free from government funding and relies entirely upon the generous support of individuals, groups, churches, organizations and corporate sponsors.

We are open three days per week. Our goal is to provide a day program that will offer hours similar to a typical work day, five days per week, to accommodate the needs of full-time caregivers.

Our Guiding Principles: We believe everyone has value, as well as unique God-given gifts and talents to share and that all are equal in God’s sight.

Daily Activities Include

  • Social Time
  • Life Skills Training
  • Pre-Vocational Activities
  • Music & Crafts
  • Bible Lessons & Prayer
  • Community Outings,
       and more...

OUR MISSION:

...To provide safe, enriching day activities for adult individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities in a positive, Christ-centered environment that will help them reach their fullest social, emotional, and vocational potential.

OUR NAME:

2nd Sam 9 is based upon the story of Mephibosheth in the Old Testament book, 2nd Samuel, chapter 9. An individual with a disability was given a place of honor in the home of King David.
